This Solon homeowner wanted an outdoor retreat that was both luxurious and environmentally friendly.
SLS installed a custom patio and pool surround featuring boulder retaining walls, natural stone stairs, and integrated lighting. The design blends seamlessly with native landscaping, creating a relaxing, low-maintenance space for entertaining and family time.

This iconic, family-friendly restaurant and brewery wanted an outdoor space that reflected their fun, community-centered brand while supporting sustainability.
SLS designed and installed a permeable paver patio and custom raised planting beds to manage stormwater naturally and create a vibrant, welcoming environment for guests.

Old Brick - Iowa City

For this beautifully maintained historic venue first built in 1856, SLS blended heritage and sustainability. The project included a large permeable patio, limestone retaining walls, stone stairs, and no-mow meadow plantings to preserve the property’s charm while managing water runoff.
Strategic lighting and native landscaping enhanced both accessibility and atmosphere for weddings and community events.

As a leader in tree stewardship and conservation, Trees Forever needed their headquarters to embody their mission.
SLS installed a permeable parking lot and patio, rain barrels, and a biocell to filter runoff naturally. Extensive native plantings and prairie installation transformed the site into a living example of sustainable design - improving water quality and supporting local ecosystems.

For this 100-year-old Reform temple, the goal was to create a welcoming, sustainable outdoor gathering space that reflects stewardship and community values.
SLS designed and installed biocells, limestone retaining walls, and a patio with native plantings to manage stormwater and create a serene, spiritual environment. A hillside prairie now supports pollinators and adds natural beauty to the temple grounds.
